CANOES & KAYAKS
Dave’s canoes and kayaks are becoming collectors’ items. Each one takes a minimum of about a year to make, as every strip of wood has to be shaped to fit flush against the next strip, and Dave uses a tiny hand plane to shape each one. They are so beautiful that two have already been bought for display as works of art. One hangs alongside a collection of Ferraris, Aston Martins, Lamborghinis, and Harley-Davidsons, the other is destined for display in a hotel foyer in Knysna. Dave is able to custom build open, Indian-style canoes, or ocean-worthy Inuit-style kayaks, each as either a single or a double. He typically uses a combination of imported Western red cedar, cypress and ash, as well as yellowwood.
Prices are around $850 000 and are built as custom orders only.

SHIPPING
Within South Africa we offer a flat rate of R125 for couriering smaller items.
International shipping is via a courier or express postage with a tracking number and should take around 10 – 15 working days. Pens are securely packed and insured.
