Rescued, recycled wood pen

The split in this piece of olive wood would ordinarily have resulted in it being thrown away, however I wanted to see if it could be rescued, recycled and given a second chance. I filled the crack with a resin infused with gold-coloured dust and set to work. Voilà! After lots of turning and polishing, a lovely, recycled pen emerged. Indoors it has dark chocolatey colours with a flick of red, whilst outside it shimmers in the sun.

Refill type: Cross-style ballpoint.

Components: 24kt gold plated with knurled pattern on cap and tip ends.
