[SOLD] Unique fountain pen: malachite and olive wood
This fountain pen is one of the most challenging we have made to date. (That’s a euphemism for “we used words you won’t find in a dictionary”.) Although we lost count of how many separate steps there were in the process, the end result made us act like kids on a giddy sugar-rush and we will try doing something like this again in the future.
The wood is from an old African wild olive stump that was cracked and figured. It has been stabilised and dyed, though as you can see the wood is so hard the pigment barely penetrated. It has been set in a resin coloured with tones reminiscent of malachite, and yellow gold, then turned and fitted with a Bock nib.
Nib: Bock #6. Please select Fine, Medium or Broad in the check-out. Polished steel and bi-color (i.e. steel & gold) are both available. (Please DM me if you need an Extra Fine.)
